A full classroom of 18 people attended a one-day tablet press training seminar at Natoli’s technical center in Southern California on April 26, 2018. The seminar was a mix of classroom and hands-on training for the attendees, who work in positions ranging from R&D to operations.
The day began with classroom learning on powder compaction and compression, taught by Robert Sedlock; proper tooling care and maintenance, led by Stephen Natoli; and tablet press setup and maintenance with Jaime Serrano.
After the classroom session, attendees broke into smaller groups for the hands-on portion of the seminar. In these groups attendees gained practical training on tablet press setup, identifying tooling damage and maintenance, and powder compaction demonstrations on a Natoli lab press.
