Natoli Teaches Tablet Compaction at University of Maryland
Robert Sedlock, Director – Technical Training & Development, taught a classroom session on tablet compaction that highlighted proper tablet press operation and test methods for formulation development. In addition, he led a lab experience on tablet formulation evaluation in which he used the NP-RD10A to perform powder characterization studies and discussed proper tool handling, inspection, and polishing.
The course attracted more than 40 industry professionals, including several FDA scientists, and provided an overview of multiparticulate beads, capsules, and tablets manufacturing. It covered the entire manufacturing process from start to finish, from raw material assessment and formulation development all the way to end-product testing and quality control, to give students a comprehensive understanding of tablet and capsule manufacturing.
Natoli will participate in the next University of Maryland Tablets & Capsules Short Course, to be held in October. For more training opportunities from Natoli, visit our training events calendar – https://natoli.com/services/training/training-event-calendar/.
