Natoli Engineering hosted two successful training sessions on July 19, 2018 – one in New York and one in California.
Natoli’s Tablet Compression Resource (TCR) center in Holbrook, New York, had a sold-out class for “From Coating to Compression: Quality Tablets from Start to Finish.” Instructors Stephen Natoli, Rosario Palminteri, and special guest speaker Chris Venczel from Venczel Technologies led a classroom and hands-on learning experience. Topics covered included:
- Proper tablet press setup
- Factors affecting tablet quality
- Punch and die cleaning, maintenance, and handling
- Punch and die inspection
- Parameters that affect efficiencies in coating
Attendees got small-group instruction and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art tableting and coating equipment.
Natoli’s TCR center in Cypress, California, was the site of our hands-on encapsulation training. Jon Carlisle, Natoli’s resident encapsulation expert, and Jaime Serrano Sr. gave attendees a complete overview of the encapsulation process from capsule separation through segment cleaning and hands-on experience with proper segment and dosing alignment – a critical step to the encapsulation process. The seminar also covered common troubleshooting problems in encapsulation.
